Our Mission
Increase Awareness
Promote awareness that suicide is a public health problem and for screening, early intervention, and “postvention” activations for survivors of suicide.
Decrease Stigma
By sharing local, regional, national suicide prevention and postvention resources.
Implement Programs
Annually, we enhance and support suicide prevention efforts throughout the state through our Nebraska State Suicide Prevention Coalition Mini-Grant Program.
About The Coalition
The Nebraska State Suicide Prevention Coalition (NSSPC) is a voluntary group made up of committed and passionate people representing public and private agencies, suicide survivors and Nebraskans interested in suicide prevention. NSSPC is recognized by the Department of Health and Human Services as the primary group responsible for coordinating Nebraska’s suicide prevention efforts.

To keep up-to-date meetings, trainings, and general news with the State Coalition, please consider subscribing to our email listserv.
When Do We Meet?
NSSPC holds bi-monthly meetings for interested members of the public on the third Friday of each odd month. Each meeting is recorded for record keeping purposes, and by accessing or attending the meeting you are consenting to be recorded for record keeping purposes. All recordings are kept securely and aid directly in providing meeting notes to help further our work.

In order to ensure inclusivity to anyone interested in joining us, each meeting will be accessible through video conferencing via ZOOM. You can join a ZOOM meeting from your PC, MAC, tablet, Apple or Android device. The ZOOM application must be downloaded to your device before you can join a ZOOM conference from a device.
