At the Nebraska State Suicide Prevention Coalition (NSSPC), our mission is to save lives, support those affected by suicide, reduce stigma, and raise awareness about suicide. NSSPC relies on the generosity of private foundations, grants, and in-kind donations to further expand and enhance our efforts to support suicide prevention efforts throughout Nebraska.
Every dollar donated to NSSPC is reinvested in our communities to support local suicide prevention and postvention initiatives. As a registered 501(c)(3), we annually provide $500-$4,000 grants through our Mini-Grant Program to local coalitions, schools, communities, and non-profits.
Total mini-grants
Since 2019, over $180,000 in suicide prevention mini-grants were awareded to recipients located in all areas of the state (from the Panhandle to Eastern Nebraska).
2020 Mini-Grants
$30,289 mini-grants given to 15 recipients in all areas of the state (Panhandle to Eastern Nebraska)
2019 Mini-Grants
$18,596 dollars in mini-grants awarded to 8 recipients.
